There is a big legal difference between the two.

Roe v. Wade could be overturned and handed back to the states.

However, if Obergefell were to be overturned, it would be difficult if not impossible to invalidate the same sex marriages that existed on the day Obergefell were overturned.

At that point, you run into some serious EPC questions having to do with classes of people, those who are already married and those who cannot get married.
