Stephen Hawking thinks he can know everything.

It is a self deception. We are limited creatures. It is impossible for us to know everything.

If he had integrity, he would acknowledge the potential of creatures who are less limited than we are.

Deut. 29:29: The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. NIV

“Stephen Hawking thinks he can know everything.”

Well, he vacillates back and forth in his belief of God. He said in an earlier time that he believed in a higher being because science couldn’t explain the other side of the Big Bang.

… if we do discover a complete theory, it should in time be understandable in broad principle by everyone, not just a few scientists. Then we shall all, philosophers, scientists, and just ordinary people, be able to take part in the discussion of the question of why it is that we and the universe exist. If we find the answer to that, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason – for then we would know the mind of God.” ― Stephen Hawking, A Brief History of Time

Right on.

The self-deception of the atheist is that he thinks he knows all, and fails to acknowledge there are things he does not know. To “KNOW” there is no God means there is nothing outside of your knowledge.

Self-deception at its worst. And arrogance at its worst.

An agnostic is at least honest with himself - he knows he does not know.

One of the best ministries I’ve ever heard (I’ve heard thousands - many by some of the best & deepest Christians of the last 50 years - and I’ve given hundreds myself) was by a humble (but famous) furniture maker whose main point was this: “The one thing necessary for a man to come to know God isn’t faith. It is honesty.” Honest with himself.

I do believe that, because honesty with one’s self will lead to a knowledge of one’s poor state and condition, and he will turn to God.

Hawking is a genius - but as some genius’s are - an arrogant one.

He will know there is a God soon - he certainly cannot have that many years left......we should pray for him.....
