“Progressive” churches fight a losing battle, and just morph into businesses; once we’re all saved there is no reason to wake up on Sundays (and even less to donate). A co-worker involved is such a “church” showed me a magazine decades ago; half the articles were dedicated to obtaining tax exemption for your organization.
