Pretty right on I think.
One thing is, he sure didn’t wear clerical garb and all the high-fallootin’ stuff that priests, bishops and the Pope wear - and would have been aghast at any suggestion to do so.
Priestly garb is just a more modern version of what the high priest and Pharisee’s wore - the one’s who arranged and called for Jesus death......
Clothing doesn't somehow become evil because bad people wore it.
Most of the "garb" to which you refer was explicitly commanded by God, in the Torah, to be worn.
Christian clerical attire is only weakly connected to Jewish ceremonial attire anyway. Most of it is directly descended from the ordinary men's attire in the later Roman Empire.
This opinion of yours, I think, diverges from Biblical imagery, considering that the Son of Man is visibly seen by the prophets as being resplendently vested: in Daniel, in Ezekiel if my memory serves me well, and especially in Revelation.
Keep in mind that the priestly vestments of the OT were specifically mandated by Almighty God in the Torah, and in exacting detail, too. If Christ is our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16, 9:12)it is appropriate to portray Him vested as such. This shows His unique priesthood in the New Testament, as prophesied and foreshadowed by the figures of the Old.
