Ideally, it should be difficult to detect the Pope’s political views. With Pope Francis it is hard to detect his religious views. His politics are in plain sight.
I used to think like that but, after really paying attention to what he says...I am not so sure. He appears to be a man of great love who understands the unique circumstances of this time period. His messages are more about how he perceives God’s love and his attempts to follow with unconditional love. I do not agree with everything he says...including the loose statements he has made in this case. But, I have confidence in his love for all. That is exactly what a Pope should exemplify in this time of hatred and focus on the world.
