There is a persistent ugly theme of male hatred of women's fertility in history,literature and philosophy; there is also a persistent opposite theme of males valuing females for nothing but fertility.

And in today's world there are certainly men who think and feel that the connection between intercourse and baby-making is pretty wonderful. My husband's one, and of course there are many more.

So I would just caution against universal anti-male generalizations.

As well, there are women whose disordered behaviors and attitudes are congruent to all of the disordered male stuff above.

Messed-up species, here. It's as if there were some inherited tendency to get things badly bent out of shape...
