A shame? It's rather an honor that Mary should appear so many times on Earth. Only about nine (9) (only 9) of these --- through the last 20 centuries --- have been officially vetted and found OK in the sense of, worthy as an aid to devotion to God, and not a danger to faith and morals. None of it is "de fide", part of the "deposit of faith" which must be believed. What about all the things these "apparitions" have supposedly said? Have they been made a part of the deposit of faith which must be believed?
