POPE FRANCIS "I also want to ask you a question." "Who is better: Lutherans or Catholics?" "It is better when they are together.

He serves Humanism and Moral Relativism well. He promotes Marxism and Liberation Theology. His conscience is corrupted rather than well-formed. He is not the first 'bad' Pope; regardless, he is a man and the Church will persevere in His Word in spite of this flawed man.
No. He is not a Catholic. Bing for EMMA BONINO POPE FRANCIS.
How many Lutherans does it take to change a light bulb?
None. Lutherans don’t believe in change.
How many Catholics does it take to change a light bulb?
None. Candles only.
How many independent Baptists does it take to change a lightbulb?
Only one, any more than that would be considered ecumenical.
Charismatics: Only one. Hands already in the air.
Pentecostals: Ten. One to change the bulb, and nine to pray against the spirit of darkness.
Presbyterians: None. Lights will go on and off at predestined times.
Baptists: At least 15. One to change the light bulb, and three committees to approve the change and decide who brings the potato salad.
Episcopalians: Eight. One to call the electrician, and seven to say how much they liked the old one better.
Unitarians: We choose not to make a statement either in favor of or against the need for a light bulb. However, if in your own journey you have found that light bulbs work for you, that is fine. You are invited to write a poem or compose a modern dance about your personal relationship with your light bulb, and present it next month at our annual light bulb Sunday service, in which we will explore a number of light bulb traditions, including incandescent, fluorescent, three-way, long-life and tinted, all of which are equally valid paths to luminescence.
Methodists: Undetermined. Whether your light is bright, dull, or completely out, you are loved — you can be a light bulb, turnip bulb, or tulip bulb. Churchwide lighting service is planned for Sunday, August 19. Bring bulb of your choice and a covered dish.
Nazarene: Six. One woman to replace the bulb while five men review church lighting policy.
Amish: What’s a light bulb?
Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church
The Catholic Church teachings posit that homosexual nature is if uncertain origin and that homosexual acts and lifestyle are not acceptible
That’s all.
You are free to think whatever it is that goes into your head
Sure they do. They now ordain womyn as "priests" and consider induced abortion as a viable "option of the last resort".
You are foolish, the Pope stands for love as Jesus Christ desires in us all. You perhaps are too world or political basis to understand what that means and entails. Do I agree with his expectation that government become compassionate in a moral or ethical Way? No, I think he is naive. He loves and looks for the love that God instilled in each of us. He firmly believes in the dignity of man. Those are good traits, but naive in a world sense. Your bitterness belies a shaded viewpoint. All men are flawed of course but this Pope is much less flawed than you think. I wonder what you would think of Christ’s actions in modern perspective. Jesus Christ would and does embrace the most vile, least loved. So does this Pope.
...You said...”Good and bad popes come and go, but the Catholic faith is immutable.”.......
The fact that you stated this then puts in question they’re supposed representation as Vicar of Christ.....which reflects directly on Catholic teachings. Though the dogma may remain set for a time, Vatican 2 showed “changes” do occur as a matter of fact.
Ping for later
The pope met in the Vatican with this group of Catholics and German Lutherans who have traveled to Rome together.
The pope had the scarf for Catholic pilgrims, and it was symbolically tied to the one worn by Lutherans, so he wore both at the same time. Later, the pope held this funny dialogue with them, where they tried to trip him up with “trick questions.”
POPE FRANCIS
“The question reads: Who do you think the great reformers are?”
“I think the greatest reformers of the Church are the saints who hear the word of God and act on it.”
A German theology student asked him about what he likes and does not like about the Lutheran Church.
POPE FRANCIS
“I really like the good Lutherans, the Lutherans who follow the true faith of Jesus Christ.”
“However, I do not like lukewarm Catholics and I do not like lukewarm Lutherans.”
The pope’s proposal was for Catholics and Lutherans to understand each other better and to support theological dialogue by helping those in need together through charitable works and prayers.
Afterwards, he bade them farewell with a joke.
POPE FRANCIS
“I also want to ask you a question.”
“Who is better: Lutherans or Catholics?”
“It is better when they are together.
Not in the Missouri or Wisconsin Synods.
What’s your point? You re-posted the article that I had posted.
I sometimes agree with ebb tide and sometimes disagree with ebb tide. When ebb tide says: "Good and bad popes come and go, but the Catholic faith is immutable," ebb tide is absolutely right. It cannot be otherwise.
As Frankie blathers on, worshiping "the environment," urging the acceptance of half vast Marxism, leading the charge for the Islamofascist invasion of Europe, as he cravenly grumbles: "Who am I to judge?," (Answer: You are supposed to be the successor of Peter in possession of the keys, THAT'S WHO!) as he cooperates with the treatment of the Holy Eucharist as if it were chewing gum handed out to all comers, encourages those who have abandoned their marriages to feel free to act as though their cohabitation with others is no big deal or that the practice of homosexual perversions need not disqualify one from receipt of the Eucharist, many Catholics recognize that we are living through a papal interregnum and will ignore this embarrassment until God fires him (ASAP?).
No.
So does that mean they have valid "priests", valid Masses and valid sacraments of Holy Communion or Confession? Does that mean you're OK with their permission of artificial birth control?
You are also from Illinois. Are you under the influence of Cupich? Is Cupich "Catholic" as well? He is taking the Archdiocese of Chicago back to the bad old days of Bernardin.
Lutherans hold to the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. We have also retained Confession, but instead of reconciliation as in the Roman church, we allow the minister to absolve us in Christ’s stead. Our services follow traditional mass form. Ministers are called by the Gospel to preach and teach God’s word. They are highly educated men who have been through 4 years of undergrad work, 3 years in the seminary and a year as a vicar before they can be called.
The ELCA is apostate. They left the Lutheran church fellowship long ago.
Francis wants all “brothers in Christ” to be able to receive Holy Communion in a Catholic Church. He also sees nothing wrong in a Catholic receiving communion in a protestant church. He has never uttered the words “fullness of the faith” to describe Catholicism or ever mentioned there is only one valid Eucharist. We all all “brothers in Christ” and the Catholic Church is just another one of the thousands of Christian churches. After all he’s a Jesuit.
Does this guy not get that his job is to preserve the Faith?
Any pope that would elevate the anti-Catholic Cupich as a Cardinal cares not a thing about the Catholic Church.
