On June 29, 1972, on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of his coronation, Pope Paul VI declared to the world, From some fissure the smoke of Satan entered into the temple of God. The pope was referencing the diabolical forces that had infiltrated the Church through the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965).
Now a key objective of Vatican II was the empowerment of the laity, in keeping with its theme of active participation of the faithful. With the Council came the new definition of priesthood as The people of God. It saw the whole Church as one hierarchy or priesthood, but in different ranks, with the ordained ministerial priesthood being only one rank of this priesthood. What was proposed was the fallacy that we are all priests of one hierarchy...
...It is a well-known and documented fact that the agents of Communism began entering our Catholic seminaries as far back as the 30s for the purpose of destroying the Church from within. Over a thousand such agents had infiltrated the seminaries prior to 1940. The testimonies of ex-communists like Bella Dodd and Manning Johnson who had testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee more than confirm that these agents of the sickle and hammer had been building their forces against the Church with the intention of breaking in and indoctrinating the faithful with anti-Church principles.
Their plan was to first absorb Catholic philosophy and teaching in the seminaries so as to give them inside access to masterfully communicate and pull the Catholic hierarchy away from their traditional roots, so that they in turn would embrace revolutionary ideas and become pawns of ecclesial subversion. The Leninist clenched fist ideal would now be applied in a spiritual way...

The article starts by blaming communism ... then free masonry ... then is all over the map with no focus.
More dominant in seminaries than communist teaching was homosexual activity. At least in my observation in Chicago Archdiocese that alone is what caused seminarians to leave ... or stay in the 60s and 70s. Homosexual activity was practiced by both right wing and left wing priests. It was their special bond, special calling.
It definitely involved a Protestant viewpoint that rejects transubstantiation (thereby allowing “regular” people to handle the Host); the Protestants in this case were simply baptized Catholics.
“Eucharistic ministers” are not in the catechism of the Catholic Church; it does mention “extraordinary ministers” that can be used in special cases - and it requires authorization each time.
Deliberately promoted to some extent by communist disciples. See below:
THE NAKED COMMUNIST: 45 COMMUNIST GOALS
On Jan. 10, 1963, Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. of Florida read a list of 45 Communist goals into the Congressional Record. The list was derived from researcher Cleon Skousens book The Naked Communist. These principles are well worth revisiting today in order to gain insights into the thinking and strategies of much of our so-called liberal elite:
...25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV. [Note: This is the Gramscian agenda of the "long march through the institutions" spelled out explicitly: gradual takeover of the "means of communication" and then using those vehicles to debauch the culture and weaken the will of the individual to resist.]
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural and healthy." [Note: Today those few who still have the courage to advocate public morality are denounced and viciously attacked. Most Americans are entirely unwitting regarding the motives behind this agenda.]
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch." [Note: This has been largely accomplished through the communist infiltration of the National Council of Churches, Conservative and Reform Judaism, and the Catholic seminaries.]...

EWTN Catholic Q&A AA-1025 and communism
...However, I have since heard of someone named Bella Dodd and did an internet search on her. It seems she was a communist that worked her way high up within the ranks of the communist heirarchy and miraculously had a conversion to the Catholic faith. She was required by the priest who helped convert her (was it Fulton Sheen?) to tell all and so she wrote a book. In it, she tells of her instructions to rally angry young radical men and convince them the only way to change is to go to the seminaries and change the church from within. She swore that she herself was responsible for over 1,000 priests, some of whom have made their way into the Catholic hierarchy...
Ping!
Oh drogi Jezu.
LOL! Polish?
I’ll admit, I pinged without reading the whole article. I do think the infiltration part is important, as it is what ruined the denomination I was raised in (Methodist) and all large organizations need to be aware.
Two respected friends of mine were RC eucharistic ministers, though, and served very devoutly.
Yes, Polish.
I rather doubt the Communists are trying to fine-tune Catholic liturgical piety. They prefer to imprison priests and bishops.

The whole concept of the "lay minister" is very much a novelty, and more to the point it turns the proper order of the mass on its head. In many churches we're left with the congregation's proletariat usurping the role traditionally reserved for the ordained.
But as far as I know, neither the real CC nor the the wholly-owned Communist subsidiary has Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist. Correct me if I'm wrong. Which I could be.
BTW I have been repeatedly invited to be an EM for our morning weekday Masses, and I respectfully decline. I personally think that Communion for the laity should be under “one kind” (the consecrated Host) so that there isn’t any pretext for laity to be handling the consecrated elements of the Eucharist or the sacred vessels of the altar.
The thing about communists sending “turned” priests to influence Senator Ted Kennedy to start supporting abortiion legislation has been pretty well aired for some years now. No reason to think the devil’s minions are letting up.
