Would that be your own personal interpretation?
If roman catholicism could ever, with 100% certainty, say that every lesson taught on Sunday morning, every Bible study, every children's lesson, every Msgr Pope article, etc, were drafted and approved by the Vatican then, and only then, would the rcc have an argument. But we know this is not the case.
This would also require no roman catholic could independently read the Bible and understand the passage on their own (going back to the old days of the laity not being allowed to read the text) unless there was a commentary/interpretation on each and every passage of the Bible to which there is not....or to which roman catholicism has not made available.
The catholic is left with one of two positions.
The catholic has to go hear what the priest has to say and can only take away his interpretation of the passage...assuming the Vatican has given him the message.
or
The catholic has to the read the Bible and determine the meaning of the passage on their own.
In fact, it would preclude the roman catholic from even commenting on these threads as they would not have the "authority" to do so.
Yes. My opinion. Based on Scripture, history, logic and the promises of Christ. Look at the energy spent on this thread alone arguing. We need a true, teaching Church.
