When I was first shown John 10:27-30 in the Bible, I knew almost immediately that, until then, all my life I was NOT hearing the truth about the gospel from being a cradle Catholic. One of the first things I did was get a Bible and start studying it. I also attended a Bible believing and teaching church and a teen Bible study group. I had a deep hunger to know God and the truth He has revealed. I went to Bible college because I wanted to learn God’s word for myself and not just swallow whatever others told me it said. God certainly rewarded me for diligently seeking Him - something He has promised to all those who search for Him with all their hearts.
