Except for. I do not consider the Catholic Church to have authority on me at all. I consider, generally speaking, Sola Scriptura if i fail to understand Scripture, I might look at how it was generally thought about by past authors.

But I will consider any position just because the Catholic church considers it.

This article is not about the authority of any Church over any individual.

God gave us free will to chose to Love Him and our neighbor or not as we chose.

This is about God’s grant of authority to a church to preach the word of God and to lead individuals morally (who chose to belong and follow the Catholic Church) to eternal life with God.

A third quality of a valid authority system is that it needs to be objective. By this I mean it needs to be independent of any one person’s or group’s agenda, ideology, philosophy or self-interest. A valid authority transcends all political, economic, and cultural pressure.

I believe it is important to follow God’s will (as best as I can) and I chose to do this through following the teachings of Jesus Christ and His Church that He established.
