Doctrine and Covenants: According to that which was ordained in the midst of the Council of the Eternal God of all other gods before this world was, that should be reserved unto the finishing and the end thereof, when every man shall enter into his eternal presence and into his immortal rest. Grace is not something anyone can be “under.”

Grace is the strength to keep and “affirm” every word of Torah, that is given only to those that love his every word.

That grace does not permit us to sin (i.e. violate Torah) nor is it a license to do so.

So they died to God's Word? But according to the Bible God's Word is life and a blessing. Why would anyone want to die to that?

In the sections where Paul seems to be saying we are no longer under the law, he is not talking about God's Law. He is talking about the law of sin and death (the evil inclinations).

Romans 7:25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Paul also says:

Romans 7:14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.

He then goes on to conclude:

Romans 8:2 Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Jesus died to free us from the punishment of sin (sin = breaking the law) not, from God's perfect word. After all, Jesus is the Word become flesh, so why would he free us from himself?
