If I may toss in my 2 cents, for whatever it's worth.....

I think that we Christians sometimes yearn so very much for Christ's return (as obviously does Fisherman) that we sometimes tend to sound like we have given up all hope for America. We sometimes get so sick and disgusted at the way so many people in our nation and the world have become Godless degenerates that we forget to hope.

I know, because I have been there all too often. Then I have to take a walk in the woods and soak in the beauty and perfection of God's creation. I have to come here to Free Republic to be reminded that there are still people that cherish freedom. I have to go and worship among a congregation that knows the Lord and where He is present. And then I remember that though my heart cries "Maranatha" (come Lord Jesus!), there are still so many friends and family yet to know Him, and so I pray for Him to grant us more time.

The Bible tells us of times when God's people were so lost that it seemed impossible to hope, and yet He brought them back from the brink. On this Sunday morning and on the eve of the 4th of July, let us all here at Free Republic join hands and comfort one another of our fears (for they are real and dire), and let's remind each other in love that in God there IS still hope, and let's thank the Lord that He is preparing Mr Trump (even though Trump has imperfections as we all do) for the battle to come. And no matter how hopeless it seems let's face it together as the founding fathers did. God just may grant us some more time and like Biggirl so aptly reminded us.... it will be more "Time to witness for the Gospel of Jesus!

This is profoundly beautiful and I agree with it completely. Thank you for posting.
