I wrote the following, and read it aloud to the music of Pat Metheny (from Secret Story album - Track: Not to be Forgotten [Our Final Hour].

Our great, Godly nation stands pitched toward the ravine.

It's hold upon the hill's crown, where the Fount of the Fatherland has nourished the
national soul with Nature's law bubbling up from the spring of God's law: this hold
of the shining city to the crown of the hill, is giving way.

Liberty, the freedom to do what is right, has warped into license, a perversion of
liberty that binds us in all cases whatsoever (1), a self-imposed tyranny, which opens
the floodgates to a government of corruption, of elitism, and yes, tyranny.

Our great nation is a bounteous garden, whose laws serve as walls of protection.(2)

Within this protected garden, we Americans have been yoked by a golden thread of
common values, and love of homeland, a golden thread that has always bound up
the nation's wounds, from Saratoga to Gettysburg, from Arlington to Punchbowl.

Our common values issue forth from the family, founded upon God's law.

Our love of homeland issues forth from the hallowed ground wherein lay
those who exchanged their lives for our liberties.

But when we kill our offspring in the pursuit of selfishness, when we re-fashion marriage
to pagan parameters, when we make acceptable that which God's law identifies as
perversion: by this do we unravel the golden thread and demolish the garden walls.

But I have dearly loved this nation of big shoulders (3), this realm, this Republic!(4)

I have paddled her rivers, surveyed her farmfields, stood watch upon her skyscrapers,
beheld in awe her music, her achievements.

And most especially have I loved her people: humorous, brash, optimistic, brave,
and God-fearing.

Americans have been woven together in unity through American families,
through patriotism, and through love of God.

But this is receding....yes, receding....

As goes the family, so goes the nation, and so goes the world in which we live.(5)
