Pope Francis issued an appeal to identify the causes of such terror, when the answer plainly is the pretension of the false prophet Mohammed and various elements of Sharia law, including torture and amputations and beheadings for sexual perversion, which the Holy Fathers apostolic heart would find insensitive. His recently appointed archbishop of Chicago prayed for his gay and lesbian brothers and sisters while seeming oblivious to the fact that some of the brothers think of themselves as sisters and vice versa. Catholic ping.

This current debate is a misdirection. Why? What we are experiencing is not “Radical Islam”, but rather everyday “normal Islam!” Normal Islam is a religious political totalitarian machine of conquest and submission. If we allow ourselves to create a false dichotomy between good Islam and bad Islam, we end up defending Islam itself! Question: Were the normal NAZIs good and the radical NAZIs bad? Were the normal Kamikazes good and the radical Kamikazes bad? Obama, or the demon behind Obama, is brilliant. To be able to lead thinking people down this path is diabolical.

Bad analogy; the Nazis were unified and so were kamikazes.
Muslims can’t even get along with each other much of the time.
The fallacy of the excluded middle only makes it harder to address the problems of the world.

Clueless fools who continually look for the "cause" of why someone hates us remind me of the scene in Independence Day when they are trying to figure out why the aliens are killing us.
President Thomas Whitmore: What do you want us to do?
Captured Alien: Die. Die.
It's pretty simple. Since we do not submit to them and their perverse religion, ISIS hates us and wants us dead.

In that period, the limpid Christology of the Arian Visigoths had softened up the Iberian peninsula for easy conquest by Moorish Muslims. Enjoyably written. However "limpid" means clear and unambiguous, not "limp." So in this case, if the Arian Visigoths actually had possessed limpid Christology, the Iberian peninsula would have been a fierce opponent to Islam, and not softened up for easy conquest.
I point this out because it sticks in my mind after I completely misunderstood the word under somewhat important conditions. On the other hand, it's rarely used, so the error is understandable.

I think you are both incorrect. Limpid has a wide meaning, and clear, watery, transparent fit his description of a place ripe for conquest.

No. Hes saying it was no longer limpid So you're saying it's a double entendre on "Arian Visigoths," implying that they're approach to Christology was anything but limpid, given who they were?
That's a pretty subtle usage.

Limpid has a wide meaning, and clear, watery, transparent fit his description of a place ripe for conquest. But he used limpid as a modifier of "Christology." Which would mean he was saying the Christology was transparently clear, not the place per se.

I knew the facts about St. Anthony of Padua but had no idea that St. Francis of Assisi has confronted the Muslims.
St. Francis and St. Anthony pray for us.
