No, it isn’t true. An Orthodox rabbi, if helping a woman or a couple stressed about an unwanted pregnancy, will counsel them to choose life. Choosing life is the most important thing in Judaism. Even if someone has a terminal disease and is in pain we are ALWAYS to pray for a healing. Which I just couldn’t do any longer at the end for my dad. So I just prayed he would be comfortable and that Gd would always be there for him.

Judaism doesn’t worry about abortion being legal but it is against killing the unborn. Reform Judaism is liberalism with some Jewish flavor, I’m sure they are ok with abortion.

There are conscientious people, obedient to God, in every religion, I think, and "Screw that, I make the rules for ME" people in every religion.

I was in a street vigil in Manhattan once, against abortion (yes, Manhattan: it was 1988) and there with our tunefully swingin' and singin' Christian prolife rabble, bigger than life, was Rabbi Yehuda Levin. Big, holding a huge Hebrew/English sign and solid as a rock. It was so good to have him there.
