Eternity will reveal what sordid affairs may have played out in his private mansion. Apparently he didn't even live with his wife.
This per Wikipedia: "In September 2004, the Los Angeles Times reported that in 1998 Crouch paid Enoch Lonnie Ford, a former employee, a $425,000 formal settlement to end a wrongful termination lawsuit. The paper also reported that Ford had alleged a sexual relationship between the two men.[19] TBN officials denied the allegations..."
You don't fork out $425k unless you are guilty as sin.
I think Genesis wrote “Jesus He Knows Me” precisely about these folks.
Make that MANSIONS
Paul and Jan had SEPERATE mansionS, one block away from each other.
I had heard in the latter years, he was in California, running TBN, she was in Orlando, running The Holy Land Experince.
An article from www.dailymail.co.uk States they had 13 mansions, plus a $50 million private jet and $100,000 mobile home for Jans dogs.
And for every soul they may have gained for Jesus, how many more were turned off from Christianity because of their antics?
Good point. I would not want to be them facing the Judgment Seat of Christ.
Looking at that photo, I keep hearing Jack Nicholson’s voice from the 1989 “Batman” movie: “Wait till they get a load of me!”
13 mansions? This is madness - indicative of those who love riches to an extreme degree. They were utterly out of control, yet continued to beg their followers for more money even as they enjoyed the excesses of a "lifestyle of the rich and famous."
I shudder to think of the fearsome judgment that will be their final legacy.
How many 80+ year old, little old lady’s, gave of their meagerness, thinking they were giving to Gods work???
More damning, how many folks decided not to become Christian because of them?
I remember seeing her on TV. She really had a unique and striking appearance.
She looks like what Michael Jackson would have ended up looking like.
#20 Holy Cow er... Jesus what a simple home they built for themselves.
And that’s typical of the way they rolled.
RIP.
Thankfully, salvation is by grace through faith in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9), not by decision.
She’s no Paula White.
She’s no Mother Angelica!
Have seen that pic before of Jan pushing the baby carriage with two dogs in it. She looks so....yea. Like get a grandbaby to care for or something.
