Many say God helps those who help themselves, but we know that is not in the Bible. The Bible shows us that God is a gentleman and does not impose on those who do not seek him in faith believing. God helps and “rewards those who diligently seek him” (Heb. 11:6) for help in time of need, not those who essentially say “C’est la vie” and “Que sera, sera.”
God does not do for you what He has given you the capacity to understand and do what he wants you to do for yourself. He does not encourage parasites and ne'er-do-wells. Nor does He affirm the misplaced compassion of others toward oneself. IMHO, and backed by instances in Scripture TNTC.
