There's a new sound coming forth from the hills of southern West Virginia. It's a sound many prophets have foretold but haven't heard until now -- and some believe it could spark an end-times awakening...

>>”Oh my gosh, it’s amazing!” 18-year-old Belfry High School student Andrew Fletcher exclaimed. “I’ve never seen something like this happen where the young people just get on fire.”
There’s been a lot of charismatic revivals in the last 50 years where “the young people just get set on fire”. A true revival is one where everyone gets set on fire.
Revivals are about the light, not the heat and sound.
I don't trust him, and therefore, can't say that these revivals are legit.
The article said more than the young. That was just one of the examples.

I can’t find it in the article. Perhaps the mention of the woman’s husband, but there is no mention of age. All I see is students, high school, youth, young, etc.
These Azuza Street style revivals do eventually bring in other generations, but only near the end. I’ve read that the people said that the older people quenched the fire and caused the Holy Spirit to retreat. Is that how God works? Would he create this great revival and then withdraw when all the generations finally discover it?
Or is it like MySpace was a decade ago: it was cool until the parents started using it and then everyone moved on to something new.
The end times are recognized in scripture as a time of apostasy, not a rock & roll hoedown.
Led by women? That wasn't a revival, just the start of a new cult.

Most Pentecostal revivals in the 20th century were the start of a new cult whether they were led by men or women.
Indeed. Pentacostalism is a very bizarre heresy.
It all started when Tennessee evangelist Matt Hartley visited a local church for what was supposed to be a three-day revival service but it just kept going. "This is not man-made, charismatic, hyper spiritual," Hartley told CBN News. "This is the presence of God that is overwhelming us, that is being released upon hungry people that are tired of just stagnant Christianity and "safe" church." "They want Jesus more than anything else. That's why they're here," he said. Hartley also spoke at the local high school where revival seemed to break out among the students.
I don't see this saying it is confined to students. I also know that the guy would not be permitted to give an evangelistic service at a school in the middle of the day.
They are using school gymnasiums because they are generally large, and are available for public use after hours. The "husband" item was also pointed out by you.
>>I don’t see this saying it is confined to students.
You are using implicit meanings because they didn’t say, “No one over the age of 30 was admitted.” The focus of these kinds of “revivals” is always youth because they are easy to win over, generate huge numbers, and then they drift away.
In WV, people become husbands pretty young. I was one at 20. My wife was 19.
It clearly says it moved to schools.
But, you’ve staked out your position.
“It has just gone from school to school, from youth group to youth group,” she said.
>>But, youve staked out your position.
And so have you. How many of these young Christians will still be “on fire” in a year when the loud music and peer identification dies away and they are faced with the reality of the church?
Well Billy Sunday was used by God to spark revivals and his preaching style was definitely very showmanship like-
[[How many of these young Christians will still be on fire in a year]]
As many as God wills to be-
>>As many as God wills to be-
My point exactly! Thanks.
Probably another Todd Bentley Lakeland revival hoax. Gullible and naive comes to mind. I don;t deny God’s Holy Spirit miraculously effecting a group of people but this stuff always turns out to be Nar based charlatans preaching heresy and subtle falsehoods.
not always- God does act on those who pray to Him- and many pray for revivals all the time- true revivals do take place- but they are pretty rare these days- America is kicking God out of our country- and I believe God may be turning His face from this nation perhaps- There still is the ‘faithful remnant’ though- thankfully-
I agree. God’s Spirit shows up in some very pronounced ways I’ve no doubt in Church services across the country all the time. They just don’t get the publicity that comes with people hyping the latest revival fire end times outpouring label. When real persecution soon begins there likely will be an inverse relationship of more fervent plea and request that God will honor in His way and time.
That is, well, actually, I never heard or saw him preach, only read some of his sermons. I heard he could be very “animated” in his approach. But the kid I saw in the video is nothing like Billy Sunday.
