Joseph and Mary are married first.
He finds out she's pregnant which gives him grounds for divorce. It's at this point you claim Mary and the Holy Spirit are married or betrothed or whatever you're calling it.
The Holy Spirit finds out Mary has done something to displease Him or He dies. But per catholicism Mary has committed no sin so it cannot be she did something to displease Him. And we know the Holy Spirit is eternal....right? So there is no grounds for divorce. As if this would even be possible.
Then Joseph is not even allowed to remarry her. The discussion of sex is not even on the table at this point.
Jeremiah 3 is citing the same Law.
However, Joseph did not divorce Mary as per his instructions so he remained married to her.
Now you have to claim both Joseph and the Holy Spirit are married to Mary????
I don't want to even think about the implications of what you're stating.
You really need to rethink your post. You are on some very, very, very sandy soil on this one. I'd say it's more like quicksand.
That's exactly what is being claimed.
And not only that, but God sends an angel to tell Joseph to not be afraid to take Mary as his wife while she is allegedly also the spouse of the Holy Spirit.
Do Catholics not believe that the Holy Spirit is God?
SO God sends an angel to tell Joseph he can go ahead and commit adultery with Mary while she's supposed to be married to God Himself? A husband giving another man permission to marry his wife?? I've often wondered is Catholics ever really think through the things they have been spoon fed their whole lives and it does not appear to be so.
