I think the OT prohibits that sort of behavior, and I’m sure the Talmudic scholars would frown upon it as well.
But catholiciism isn’t Christianity and thus not a child of The Old Testament Prophecies. Catholiciism can claim anything they want with their religion and support it with any magisterium decree. They can even based dogma on False Decretals.
