So long as you untether text, from the sacred oral tradition and the practice and beliefs of the early disciples and those by whose authority, an authority given by Christ to Peter and his successors to teach and thus to insure the truth of the written Word of God was made official, you end up engaging in meaningless neophyte exegetics. It is well known that a statement shorn or torn out of its context is a meaningless basis for interpretation.
