I was referring to John Calvin - author of the Institutes of Christian Religion. In Calvin’s verse by verse commentaries of the Bible he skips Romans 9 through 11.

“having never debated anyone in your life on what is clearly taught in scripture.”

I don’t mean to get rub you wrong but I find this statement really condescending and ignorant at the same time.

So basically you don't even know what you're talking about and are reporting something you heard on some stupid website without verifying it yourself. Here is Calvin going verse by verse from Romans 9 to 11, and, in fact, the entire book, here:

Even without bothering to look, it's such a stupid claim. The best evidence for Calvinism is in Romans 9. Why would Calvin skip it? It's so stupid that you'd take this claim at face value.
