UPDATE:
Kelly remains in Critical condition however the doctors have told us that her lungs have been improving.
It seems that she takes two steps forward and one step back. She got a pretty significant improvement on her lungs but her kidney functions have fallen a bit. Overall, though, it appears that she is slowly improving. She woke up a few times today and seemed to know what was going on. She was reacting to our voices but she is unable to speak due to the ventilator. They are keeping her under a minimal dose of propofol so she doesn’t start tearing at her tubes so she is still pretty out of it.
The doctors and nurses appear to be upbeat about her prospects so we are counting our blessings with each passing day.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. We continue to take this day by day. I will try to update this thread again tomorrow.
