The sanctification through good works

This can only be initiated in the life of one saved by faith, justified by the imputation to him by The Father in exchange for all ones sins that were borne by Jesus in His Body on the Cross, then reconciled to The Father by our High Priest.

From that initial point of receiving eternal life, the redeemed one follows the Master, Jesus the Anointed One. If he/she misses a step, the Holy Ghost is there to aid and strengthen. Deliberate disobedience warrants chastening by a loving father.

"If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" (Heb. 12:7).

What is the result?

"For they" (pour earthly fathers) "verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his sanctity" (Heb. 12:10). There is no trying to earn your way to heaven.

Regarding committing complete trust in the Redeeming Christ, Yoda say:

"Do, or do not. There is no 'try.' "

The burden of discipleship is light; the yoke of Spirit control is easy.

Yoda didn’t write my bible. Yes there is a try, and it keeps on until actual arrival in glory. If Paul can’t transcend it while yet on earth, how silly we are to presume otherwise.

Yeah, that looks vaguely Catholic. Thanks.
