if you had read my article you would have seen that for some inexplicable reason, the U.N.(The World) has steadfastly resisted the status of Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol and has instead conferred a neutral status on it, and split it in two. Please read the articles if you are going to comment on them, so that instead of being snide, and obtuse you can offer helpful input
Sorry to sound snide, I will try harder to fight the urge.
I get frustrated when someone takes the deep spiritual meaning of God’s word and completely misses the whole point of what that word says.
Physical Jerusalem means no more to God than Paris, London or Moscow.
The new Jerusalem is our home and the object of God’s love and attention.
Zec 12:5 âAnd the leaders of Judah shall say in their heart, âThe inhabitants of Jerusalem are a strength to me, through YHWH (the LORD) of hosts, their God.â
YWHW of hosts is the Son. The leaders of Jerusalem do not believe in YHWH of hosts (the Son) and so it is those who do believe in YHWH of host (the Son) that give strength to those who do not.
Zach 12:10 ... They shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn, ...
And this takes us to John 1, where John reveals that indeed, the Son had come in the Father's name and the vast majority rejected Him, but to those who believed, these were given authority to become children of God.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. 12 But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. (see Hebrews 11)
John 1:18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
John 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven except He who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.
The Son had already ascended & descended from heaven. It was He who was with Noah, with Abraham, with Isaac, with Jacob, with Moses, it was He who spoke with the prophets, etc., etc.
The Father does not appear until the Son has accomplished all that the Father gave Him to accomplish. (1Cor 15) Then the Father descends with the new Jerusalem and not until then.
Shalom
