Not patching an old garment with new cloth, and not putting new wine into old bottles—both metaphors would seem to describe a different kind of being born again, the kind most people accept as being the meaning.
Born again is a doctrine of Nicodemus... he did not understand what Christ was preaching either.... John 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, "Art thou a master of Israel, and knows not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye received not our witness.
Remember not one word of the so called NEW Testament was placed on plant fibers or animal skins yet. Thus, Christ is telling Nicodemus, born from above is not a new revelation...
When were all souls and their spirit intellect created?
Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
John 1:1 In the beginning (Genesis 1:1) was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... The Holy Spirit comes from the Word, not from being 'born again'.
