1 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
4 Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters - one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."
5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"
6 When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. 7 But Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid." 8 When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.
9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."
10 The disciples asked him, "Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?"
11 Jesus replied, "To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. 12 But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands." 13 Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.
Did you even think and try to comprehend what I wrote? Where did the idea of idolatry, anti mary, come from. That is something lurking in your mind and you better deal with it. All you do is respond with personal attacks. Did I attack you personally, the answer is NO.
Quote me your doctrine then. Show me I am wrong.
I don’t hate Mary, if your read what I wrote you would get that.
What is better: To thank Mary for God, or to thank God for Mary?
Give me an answer IF YOU CAN. I am simply informing you danger of honoring the creature instead of the Creator. Does it offend you that I call Mary a creature? Well you and I are creatures too.
Jesus corrected the Jewish tradition that Moses gave them bread in the wilderness. Why did he correct that?
God honors his saints. “If you are not ashamed of Me on earth I will not be ashamed of you in heaven” says He.
1) I cannot find the above in the Bible but it sounds good. I am willing to be corrected and will you point me toward the source. Again, it reminds me of the following. They quote the source as the scriptures but it is not. Jesus quickly corrects them with the truth.
Joh 6:31 After all, our ancestors ate manna while they journeyed through the wilderness! The Scriptures say, ‘Moses gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
Joh 6:32 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now He offers you the true bread from heaven.
2) Lets assume your statement is ok and look at it closely.
God honors his saints, not us. Our purpose in life is to honor God. Where does the honor take place? What does the honor God gives look like? It says “not ashamed”, that is a far distance away from honor or veneration as you would call it.
3)Most times “higher ground” is needed to let Gods Spirit speak to us. The Bible is very consistent in what it says throughout the old and new testament.
Psa_149:9 to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise Jehovah!
Praise and honor belong to Jehovah.
2Th 1:10 when He shall come to be glorified in His saints and to be admired in all those who believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that Day.
The purpose of the saints is to glorify God
Luk 17:10 In the same way, when you obey Me you should say, ‘We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.’”
The above is the response of any true saint. They are unworthy and do not deserve any honor. Puts us in our place doesn’t it?
Luk 1:49 For the Mighty One is holy, and He has done great things for me.
Luk 1:50 He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear Him.
Luk 1:51 His mighty arm has done tremendous things! He has scattered the proud and haughty ones.
Luk 1:52 He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble.
Luk 1:53 He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands.
Luk 1:54 He has helped His servant Israel and remembered to be merciful.
Luk 1:55 For He made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children forever.”
The above is Mary’s testimony. It is not about her. It is about God.
I thank God for the “iron sharpening” this morning.
“...personal attacks.”
What personal attacks?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
“What is better: To thank Mary for God, or to thank God for Mary?”
Is it not possible to do both? Is it a sin to thank Mary (or Paul the apostle, for that matter) for bringing you Jesus?
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
“Does it offend you that I call Mary a creature?”
I’ve never met another human being who was offended that I call Mary a creature. How many have you met who would be so offended? I’d love to hear the story of such occurrence, having never heard of or seen it before. (Maybe some preacher made the lies up to defend his position against the one holy Catholic apostolic Church.)
Is it wrong to honor a creature and to honor the Creator infinitely more? Or is that impossible to you?

“Jesus corrected the Jewish tradition...”
At your convenience please paste in the quote that you are seeking my answer to.
Jesus said to the centurion, “I have not found such in all Israel!” paraphrased
and in another place:
“Nathaniel, a man without guile” paraphrased
And so it is that I am permitted to make such declarations of honor of fellow creatures where truthful and appropriate.
Good try but artfully dodged.
Your request will be fruitless.
Terycarl speaks with the authority of the church fathers.
He may even be speaking ex-catheter.
She will appear next time on a potato chip in the shape of a seat belt.
You seem to miss the point that Catholicism has molded Mary into something she is not.
Like a doppelganger of the real handmaiden of the Lord that gave birth to Jesus then lead a quite holy life as the wife (with all it's aspects) of Joseph.
We Christians love and respect the Mary of the Bible.
Please repent and believe this sound doctrine.
Please post some sound doctrine. Backed up by scripture would be helpful
Have you noticed that lately the Catholic Mary is the central figure in Catholicism?
Come to Jesus, he will receive you into His kingdom. Believe and repent.
Christianity existed since the time of Jesus, Catholicism not so much.
That would be 2000 or 2016 years depending on which post of yours one is looking at.
No Jesus wasn't a Catholic as you finally admitted, he was declared that many years later.
Why?
That post is great, it's like saying that Christ cannot be in all those Catholic transubstantiation Masses all over the world....far to complicated for God to handle......sigh
Nothing can prove it to an unbeliever, but to those millions of faithful who have benefited through prayer through Mary, there will NEVER be a doubt.
Childish.
Yes, He was a Catholic, founded the religion.....You were Syncro for a full 9 months before anyone even saw you....nothing changes just because you weren't called by name at your conception.
Yes, I would say that better describes your posts.
Those who do not progress past the milk of scripture usually are.
You said you were more knowledge than the pope!
So again, you’ve got nothing.
LOL!
