Order of Dependency for the Bible-believing Christian

Whether anyone in Washington, DC believes that the United States of America is the product of a Christian Heritage, whether anyone has the courage to continue to call the United States a Christian Nation, or not, . . . . our elected representatives must be aware that there are remaining throughout the country millions of Bible-believing Christians who are determined to live-out traditional, Biblical, Christian ideals in our homes and in our public life.

We reject the federal government taking the place or honor of God Almighty in our existances.

ORDER OF DEPENDENCY FOR THE BIBLE-BELIEVING CHRISTIAN CONTRASTED WITH THE ORDER OF DEPENDENCY INSISTED UPON BY GODLESS GOVERNMENT

1. God; that is, the God of the Bible. 2. The Individual; walking with God and submissive to His Word and Will. This would include obedience to the Biblical work ethic (Ecclesiates 3:12, 13; 1 Timothy 5:8; 2 Thessalonians 3:6-­‐15; and a host of other Scripture passages), and genuine care for the family and for the Church of God. 3. The Family; the Home, including extended family. God and the individual are vital here. This concept suffered a severe blow by the Industrial Revolution, by Materialism, and by Roosevelt Socialism. The Social Security System mentality has very unfortunately relieved younger generations from keeping close watch over and responsibility toward their elder generation. 4. The Church; that is the local assembly of Christian believers (e.g., of which the Christian is a member.) 5. Genuine Christian friends in general, inside or outside of one’s local assembly. This could also include ministries like “Rescue Missions” (We believe, however, that even these kinds of ministries should be conducted under the authority of local churches.) ORDER OF DEPENDENCY FOR THE BIBLE-BELIEVING CHRISTIAN (Continued) 6. Neighbors. The reason for developing harmony and protective structures in neighborhoods or communities. The Christian with his witness and testimony is vital to the protection of neighborhoods from the onslaught of the wicked. 7. Community Chests on a Local level, where the local community can determine genuine needs and keep a check on fraud and wastefulness in charitable work. 8. Charitable Organizations: First local (e.g. Community Chests); then Regional, then National, and only then International. This would include medical trusts and charities, food charities, housing & shelter charities, et cetera. 9. Privately-­‐owned business and industry in their voluntary contributions to charitable work.
10. Civil Government being last: Local government should be primary because it is closest to the scrutiny of the people; then state level; and the Federal Government last of all, and only under strict servanthood to the people.

BUT TODAY’S FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BELIEVES OUR DEPENDENCY SHOULD BE IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER:

1. The Federal Government gone National-­‐Socialist (the “Nanny State”). 2. State Government under the control of Washington. 3. Local subservient bureaucracies, taking their orders from Washington.
4. Industry, Labor Unions, Banks, and Insurance Companies being partly or fully Nationalized and Regulated. 5. Liberal-Socialist Special Interests. 6. Socialist-indoctrinated charities, such as the “United Way.” 7. Progressive Religious Denominations which tow the current Socialist agenda of Washington.

There is no call for dependency upon God, family, or the individual in the scheme of the so-called federal government in Washington today.

Each Christian should, and is urged to present the Biblical order of dependency for the Christian to their elected representatives and insist upon it; make it our solid and genuine conviction.

The Biblical order of dependency is why we are opposed to “Obamacare” and all other socialist schemes pretending to solve the problems of man. ORDER OF DEPENDENCY FOR THE BIBLE-BELIEVING CHRISTIAN (Continued)

We urge families to make a project of placing the Scripture references with each point in the Biblical order of dependency (we have helped here just a bit with regard to the Christian work ethic), and submit this all in neat and proper form to your elected representatives on the Federal, State, and Local levels.

I understand that “Caesar” is not the U.S. federal government, and that there is no Biblical nor governmental reason to call our government “Caesar” as Caesar was called Caesar in Matthew ch. 22.

In the USA the people are Caesar, not the Fed.

I just could be that you had a socialist public education like I had (mine in California), and that you had a pastor who taught you that you should pay your federal income taxes just because that is what it means to "render unto "Caesar." Or, like in so many churches that are deeply indebted, the pastor actually wanted to emphasize the second part, "render unto God" to get people to give more to pay the church's debts, that God may have never led the church into to begin with, etc.

But "Caesar" was a conquering power over Israel in the time of Jesus' earthly life. Rome was a foreign invader. If the U.S. fed is a "Caesar," then it must be admitted that the federal government has conquered us. Of course, you are free to simply acquiesce to that philosophy.

The role of the federal government is to be the servant of the States, not a conqueror over them, nor an invader.

You have ignored the purpose of the article I have written, though, and that is to remind Bible-believing Christians (not nominal "Christians") that they are and foremost dependent upon God, the God of the Bible they claim to believe. All other forms of dependency flow from there.

Why would reject that?

I don't think you necessarily have, but you missed the purpose of the article.
