After months of reflection, Donald Trump says he still doesn't regret his decision not to ask God for forgiveness for his sins.
In an interview on Sunday with CNN, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that he does not regret never asking God for forgiveness, partially because he says he doesn't have much to apologize for.
"I have great relationship with God. I have great relationship with the Evangelicals," Trump said in the interview before pivoting to his poll numbers among Evangelical voters.
"I like to be good. I don't like to have to ask for forgiveness. And I am good. I don't do a lot of things that are bad. I try to do nothing that is bad."

You don’t understand what God calls ALL of us to do which is confess our sins to HIM (not a human priest) and turn from our wicked ways and turn towards Him.
No man is good; no not one.
Latest spin when Trump expels some silly statement is, “He was telling a joke.”
Maybe that could be retroactive?
There is an analysis out there that pegs it as 4th grade level for vocabulary and sentence construction. Let's try to be accurate.
It astounds me that so many on FR have fallen for him. In 13 months, when President Trump embraces and sets out to expand the Obama agenda, what will they be saying?
"I've never been a sinner.
I've never sinned.
I've got a friend in Jesus..."
Jesus: “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God.”
The Jews measured their righteousness by the 10 Commandments, seeing them only as external requirements - and they were convinced they were good. The 10 C’s were their “bar”. They did not realize “God looks at the heart...”, not the external.
So Jesus raised the bar - by several miles - in the Sermon on the Mount, paraphrased, “You think the bar is here (the 10 C’s); but I say to you.....if any man look at a woman with lust, he is guilty of adultery.....”, and so on.
Trump neither knows himself - nor God. BTW, they go together......
He sets himself as the standard of goodness. This is self-deception.
Not unlike Obama.
And Cruz’s parents are divorced and both have re married....don’t think Cruz or Beck walk on water, ONLY GOD DOES THAT, and they aren’t GOD!!!
...and WHO are you to judge? Maybe I should ask my friend to run your background and see what we come up with...
What I ask God is none of your business...what you ask God is no body else’s business...so keep your ‘walk on water’ opinions to your self...you might fall in and drown...
Presbyterians say “Our Father...” during services.
Tell it to Trump.
"I'm Presbyterian, he said. "Boy, that's down the middle of the road, folks, in all fairness. I mean, Seventh-day Adventist, I don't know about. I just don't know about."Donald Trump: No apology for questioning Ben Carson's Seventh-day Adventist faith
Bingo.
LOL I was talking about Trump and HIS pride and you look it personally. Typical of someone who has projected a celebrity or politician to a level above mere human.
Remember: ‘Put you hand in a bucket of water and pull it out and lets see the hole you have left’....it’s called: ‘unimportant’.....
I suspect there are many Christians who never sat in Sunday School, or Confirmation class or any instruction on what it means to be Christian.
“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so,” is about the extent of their knowledge. That alone means a lot.
Delusions of grandeur. I am more fearful with each passing day of a Trump presidency.
By the God Man Jesus incarnation and death and by obedience to Him.
We have no idea how God judges any particular man however.
No one likes it but the presence of the righteous God drives His children to their knees and then He dries their tears and gives them peace, love, and joy. That is why we call Him Father.
9 And He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt: 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and was praying this to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ 13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Luke 18:9-14
Prayers for our next President.
If you want to know Him, simply be willing to disregard all of man’s teaching, read the Bible and pray for the truth and nothing but the truth for He is the Truth (the Way, the Truth, and the Life). I’m glad He chose you. Maranatha!
I am a voter, and I am certainly allowed to judge the character (or in Trump's case, the complete lack of character) of someone who wants to be president. As to whether or not someone who commits adultery needs to ask God for forgiveness, the Bible is pretty clear about that.
And if you are trying to intimidate me (another Trump trait) you are failing big time...
