My fellow Illinois Catholic: As I prepare my intentions for my next rosary, you will surely be included. May God bless you and yours and ease your pain, and guide your recovery to complete success.
Please keep me and my kidney failure in your prayers.

Prayers! And I know how you feel I almost broke one of my toes due to a slip on the ice last year.

Prayers for you, FRiend.
There, but for the grace of God...
Did a little slip and fall myself, a little over an hour ago. Sore wrist, sore butt, bruised ego.
Get better.
To: infool7
Ow! Not fun. Praying for a speedy recovery.

Thank you so much, FreeRepublic is amazing, prayers are always just minutes, in this case only seconds away.
It’s a good thing I didn’t fall on my right ankle, I broke that one way back in 1979 and it still has a pin in it.
Thank you everyone for your prayers, please also pray for those in the hospital both working and those getting treatment at this moment.

If they have to “set” it then it sounds like a full break, not just a crack or fracture. So sorry. God’s blessing and swift recovery. Prayers up here...
To: infool7
Longest 3 months of my life. Right bi-mal fracture. Took forever for the swelling to go down.
Keep your toes higher than your nose laying down IF you get the awful swelling.

Something similar happened to my dad many yeas ago. But in addition, as he fell, his false teeth fell out and slid across the ice into a fresh pile of dog poop. Things could always be worse. :^) You’re in our prayers.

I’m sorry; I’m from Illinois too, so I’ll keep you special in my prayers. My husband did the same thing years ago when he was jogging in the winter, and I won’t lie, it took some time and it was inconvenient to both him and to me.
Does your car have an automatic transmission? Which ankle is broken?
