Never got into his Glam R&R with his eye shadow, makeup, high heels, stockings and tight pants bellowing out degenerative, with an effeminate style, music that could only be called decadent. The world has changed and honors this guy and it’s not for the better.
His glam stuff was not my favorite.
There was a song he did on Low called “Warszawa” (Warsaw) where he took the melody from a Polish folk song, he said of the song,
“In that tune [Warszawa], I wanted to express the feelings of people who yearn to be free, they can smell the scent of freedom...but they can’t reach it.”
When I played it again this week and heard this hauntingly beautiful tribute to a city that had seen Hell, I broke out in tears.
That’s the Bowie I choose to remember.
Indeed my friend! Lawlessness only produces anarchy and caos.. sound absolutes (moral and spiritual) only produce peace, order and harmony... Rom. 10:4, James 3:18!
Most tragically many here do not get that!
