I had a phone conversation, on another matter, with a person in an office at the Diocese of
LaCrosse, who had worked on a book in 1980 with the then-Father Raymond Burke, who
this person said to Fr Burke that he would someday be a Cardinal. I told that person:
Some of us look to Cardinal Burke for the center of the Catholic Church at this particular
time, and not to Rome under the present administration.
