Mine was
J Vernon McGee/ I can hear his voice in my head.
Great accent! He gave the phrase ‘my beloved’ a pure agape air.

Gosh, it has been years since I heard that name. One of my favorite ones as a kid was Rev. H, Richard Hall of TN. He, his wife and a young man stayed with us way back when. He died about 2001. He was on a radio station in western AL. I looked them up a few years ago and she and Don remembered staying with us back in the 1950’s. I asked him if he remembered the day when several local ministers came for lunch while they were at our house and my dad was so busy talking to all of them that he put chocolate in buttermilk. They did not, but remembered the names of the ministers who were there. So, guess I come by my weird actions naturally. You know, I just have to laugh when I remember events of my life. Guess that is what memories are for. God bless!

J Vernon McGee/ I can hear his voice in my head.I liked John R Rice too. His booklet called Hell, what the Bible says about it, scared me out of Hell and into Heaven. I freely, totally, completely, 100% admit that. Some may not like that. Oh well. Such is life.

J Vernon McGee was a great preacher and Biblical scholar.
His sermons kept playing on the radio long after his death.
And I kept listening to them.
RIP J Vernon
