Ughhh. I donât see whatâs so hard to comprehend really. Nothing in that passage contradicts what I said. Yeah, but if he makes REAL big letters in different colors, it makes it more convincing.....chuckle!

But note for a limited time. Context is key with all things.
To: metmom
Only sinners need Jesus. The righteous can stand on their own merit. SEE, you know everything...I thought that EVERYONE needed Jesus.....I guess we non-sinners don't need Him at all....what a relief...........sheesh.

No, not accurate as Mary is the mother of the incarnation of the second person of the Trinity, not the mother of the Godhead, which is what saying *mother of God* says. *Mother of God* says *mother of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit*. Dream along with me, I'm on my way to the stars....isn't that how the song starts????....good grief.

what happened to Joseph? He seems to have gotten a raw deal here. An honorable man....and he is indeed honored, but had no physical role in Jesus' conception. Probably much older than Mary, his relationship with her is pretty much unknown and basically none of our business.

I’ll ask my question again, slightly rephrased: is belief Mary’s post-partum virginity necessary for one’s salvation, and if so, why?
To: terycarl
So many catholics, because the ism has beguiled them, will strive to obtain Salvation for so long, until they hear Jesus say ‘Depart from me, I never knew you.’

Focus upon what the Bible says about Mary being betrothed to Joseph, and what Joseph was told about going ahead and taking Mary as his wife. Catholiciism twists the notion of vows and the Jewish wedding process, betrothal, marriage, so that their institution can elevate the Mother of Jesus to status which empowers the Vatican, not the adherents. Catholics twist nothing...they just don't make up their own fantasies to attempt to justify what they think might have happened....Protestants, on the other hand, have been free to do that since the 1600's.

I guess we non-sinners don't need Him at all....what a relief...........sheesh. You're claiming you don't sin? Ever? And that you've never sinned? Ever?

Just FYI, you made God out a liar by claiming you don't sin.

How would a catholic know one way or the other? Don’t they have to consult their magicsteeringthem?

well, you just proved another aspect ... the magicsteeringthem has been successful in obscuring the details of the Jewish wedding process so their MAry can be the mother of her spouse.

Keep up the good work folks. Keep telling it like it is. I wonder how some people will bluff their way into Heaven? Inquiring minds want to know.

An honorable man....and he is indeed honored, but had no physical role in Jesus' conception. Well, no, duh!!!!!!!!
That's part of the Virgin birth thing going there.
Probably much older than Mary, his relationship with her is pretty much unknown and basically none of our business.
*Probably*? On what basis is that conclusion reached? Because there's not a thing in Scripture that could possibly lead to that conclusion.
And if it's none of our business, then why did the Catholic church make it their business and concoct all kinds of fables about what may or may not have happened between the two of them? Why are Catholics so obsessed with her virginity then?

Even though it has been stated here that Jesus was a Catholic and that Catholicism started in the year Zero, there were no Catholics until long after Jesus died Peter was ex post factoed in as the first pope hundreds of years later, then a list of following popes was conjured up. Wow, and your source of information is________________?

Catholics twist nothing...they just don't make up their own fantasies to attempt to justify what they think might have happened.... And you actually make that claim with a straight face?
Can you say *immaculate conception* and *Perpetual virginity* and *assumption of Mary*?
