The Harlot Riding the Scarlet Beast The Unfaithful City Utilizing the End-Times Political Beast For

Revelation chapter 17 and 18 detail much about the three-fold Babylon of the End Times: Political, Economic and Religious Babylon. The events are mainly covered from an Earthly perspective. The Harlot riding the Beast represents Religious Babylon. She is portrayed as a "harlot" or a "prostitute" because she commits spiritual fornication with the kings or leaders of the world. This would be interpreted that she left her First Love, i.e., preaching the Reconciliation to God in Christ, pursuing instead pure monetary and political gain. Her primary purpose is to gain power over the Saints of God (and even non-believers) by any means possible.

She is clearly identified as a "CITY" (not a nation or country) ten (10) times in Revelation 14, 16, 17 and 18. Her location, as a CITY, is obvious to anyone who understands history. Therefore she is a CITY that:

1) has a Christian religious heritage, 2) is waxed exceedingly rich, 3) has the blood of Saints and Martyrs on her hands, 4) has tremendous religious influence throughout the world, 5) is clothed in purple and scarlet, 6) is located near the Mediterranean Sea, 7) is full of abominations, primarily idols, 8) is heavily adorned with gold and jewels, 9) is primarily represented by a woman instead of Jesus Christ, 10) is carrying a golden chalice, significant to her identity, 11) influences world political leaders because of her religious power, 12) sits on seven mountains or hills.

Much of the language of Revelation is symbolic, requiring an enlightened view of all Scripture and the knowledge of Jesus Christ as God's Chosen Messiah; a knowledge only revealed to and available to a believer (2nd Corinthians 4:3-4). Therefore, the Book of Revelation, also known as The Apocalypse or Revelation of Jesus Christ, is a perpetual mystery to unbelievers. For this reason, early Christians could copy and repeat the mysteries found in Revelation without fear of the Roman government realizing it was Gospel literature.

An Angel of God, holding one of the seven bowls, beckons to the Apostle John to explain to him the Mystery of the Harlot. She sits on many waters because she has influence throughout the entire world. She rides astride the Beast indicating she has no problem enjoying the political power of the Antichrist and his father Satan. The Apostle John is amazed at the sight of her:

1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the judgment of the Great Harlot who sits on many waters," 2 "with whom the kings of the Earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the Earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.'' 3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a Woman sitting on a scarlet Beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 The Woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, 5 and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, "BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.'' 6 And I saw the Woman drunk with the blood of the Saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered greatly.

The Angel of God tells the Apostle John not to be amazed; he will explain the mystery to him. The Beast is none other than the physical embodiment of Satan, the Antichrist, who will end up in destruction or perdition. Those who will choose to remain unsaved will easily be deceived by the Beast. The kings of the Earth during the Tribulation Period will follow the Beast into battle against Jesus when He returns in Revelation 19.

7 And the angel said to me, "Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the Woman and of the Beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns." 8 "The Beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the Earth, whose name has not been written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the Beast, that he was and is not and will come." 9 "Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the Woman sits," 10 "and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while." 11 "The Beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction." 12 "The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the Beast for one hour." 13 "These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the Beast." 14 "These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, and those who are with Him are the Called and Chosen and Faithful.'' 15 And he said to me, "The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues." 16 "And the ten horns which you saw, and the Beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire." 17 "For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the Beast, until the words of God will be fulfilled." 18 "The Woman whom you saw is the GREAT CITY, which reigns over the kings of the Earth.''

A Second Angel of God comes down from Heaven having great power given to him by God. He pronounces the crimes of the Harlot: 1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from Heaven, having great authority, and the Earth was illumined with his glory. 2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, "Fallen, fallen is BABYLON THE GREAT! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird." 3 "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the Earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the Earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.''

Jesus now speaks from Heaven, pronouncing the terrible destruction of the Harlot according to the Judgment of God:

4 I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, "Come out of her, My people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; 5 for her sins have piled up as high as Heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 "Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her. 7 "To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, "I SIT AS A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.' 8 "For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong. 9 "And the kings of the Earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning, 10 standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, "Woe, woe, the GREAT CITY, BABYLON, the STRONG CITY! For in one hour your judgment has come.' 11 "And the merchants of the Earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargoes any more 12 cargoes of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood and every article of ivory and every article made from very costly wood and bronze and iron and marble, 13 and cinnamon and spice and incense and perfume and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and cargoes of horses and chariots and slaves and human lives. 14 "The fruit you long for has gone from you, and all things that were luxurious and splendid have passed away from you and men will no longer find them. 15 "The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning, 16 saying, "Woe, woe, the GREAT CITY, she who was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls; 17 for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!' And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood at a distance, 18 and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, "What CITY is like the GREAT CITY?' 19 "And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, "Woe, woe, the GREAT CITY, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!' 20 "Rejoice over her, O Heaven, and you Saints and Apostles and Prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her.''

Another Angel of God performs a symbolic act, depicting the destruction of the Harlot and again declaring her guilty of the slaughter of Prophets and Saints of God and everyone else she betrayed:

21 Then a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "So will BABYLON, the GREAT CITY, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer." 22 "And the sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any longer; and no craftsman of any craft will be found in you any longer; and the sound of a mill will not be heard in you any longer;" 23 and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the Bridegroom and Bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the Earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery." 24 "And in her was found the blood of Prophets and of Saints and of all who have been slain on the Earth.''

Again the City of Religious Babylon is revealed, this time by the Apostle Peter, writing from Rome, where a group of Christian believers was located (to these people the Apostle Paul wrote the Book of Romans). This city is in existence at the time of Peter's writing during the mid-first century A.D. This was (and is) a current city at Peter's time and is not to be confused with the historical New Testament references (Matthew 1:11, 12, 17, Acts 7:43) to Chaldean Babylon which was located in Shinar, where we find modern-day Iraq:

13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, and so does my son, Mark.

Yet again, Revelation *clearly* states the fact that End-Times Religious Babylon is a CITY. No allegorical or magical interpretation is appropriate or necessary. There is an explicit and clear distinction between "City" and "Nation" demonstrated here. Religious Babylon of the time of Peter the Apostle and the End Times of Revelation is a CITY: 8 And there followed another angel, saying, "BABYLON is fallen, is fallen, that GREAT CITY, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."

To correctly understand this passage from Revelation 16, it is necessary to have read Revelation 14, 17 and 18 as well. "Babylon the Great City" is referred to in those passages and is found in Revelation 16 before and after a reference to other cities of other nations falling. A proper reading of this passage shows that the context of "city" and "nation" (v. 19) is clearly intended to mean just that: a "city" means a "city" and a "nation" means a "nation." During the 20th and 21st centuries, it has become popular among several to declare "city" as meaning "nation," but a sensible reading of Revelation 16 simply will not allow that misguided interpretation to be possible: 18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the Earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19 And the GREAT CITY was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and GREAT BABYLON came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the Cup of the Wine of the Fierceness of His wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

4 The Woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality,

She is wearing the color of priests- except for one color- Blue..

She is ‘blueless’- scripture tells us what Blue represented - numbers 15:37-41:

37 The Lord also spoke to Moses, saying, 38 â€œSpeak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue. 39 It shall be a tassel for you [a]to look at and REMEMBER all the COMMANDMENTS of the Lord, so as to do them and not [b]follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot, 40 so that you may REMEMBER to do all My COMMANDMENTS and be holy to your God. 41 I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the Lord your God.â€

That is why the patience of the saints in Revelation 14 is ‘keeping the Commandments of God AND faith in Jesus/Joshua..

If one studies Rev 13- the satanic alliance causes the world to break His Commandments.(those Commandments are in their- but in a negative form- worship beast, etc)
We can know that by seeing where obedient people were to put His Commandments- on their forehead and their hand as a ‘sign’- Deuteronomy 6:8 vs the mark of the beast in the same place for disobedience..

If people knew 30/60/100 in His Parable of the sower have a component of those same Commandmemts, Scales on the eyes would come right off..(Judaism and Christianity can’t teach it currently)

And it would broaden the harlot in Revelation 17 to any ‘blueless’ church/religion-

Any religion that forget His Commandments- because that woman in Revelation 17 isnt wearing blue, like the priests did..

Quite a study! But a blessing to see how Revelation is unfolding in the life of believers everyday..

Daniel 7:25 has and is occurring too, with times and laws changing..

Not an accident the world runs on a Roman calendar named after a Pope!

That is prophetic and that counterfeit calendar causes the whole world NOT to remember His Sabbath, which is one of those eternal Commandments written by His Finger on stone of ‘Blue’ from His eternal Saphire Throne!(Ezekiel 10:1,Exodus 24:10)

That is why Blue missing in Revelation 17 is very telling..
And why people who don’t follow them and teach others not to do His Commandments are called ‘Least’ in the Kingdom..(Mathew 5:19)

Quite a different view of ‘religion’ when one sees the thousands and thousands of versions of truth..

When Muhammad has a calendar that changes times and laws like the 4th Beast/Kingdom in Daniel thinks to do, I will give them more pub..

Until then, they are just another ‘antichrist’ baylonian religion.

When people study ‘anti’ they may see that it was a word that meant ‘instead of’ and ‘in place of’ and not just ‘opposing’ or against..

But scripture and studying religion can clump Islam, Rabbinic Judaism and Christianity all having components of ‘anti’ that would detail enemies without and within..

Rome has ‘another Jesus’ and ‘another gospel’ and that can be proved by scripture .

An ‘instead of’ Christ. An ‘antichrist’. That can be proven by ‘Rome’s Mary’ herself and her very first promise of her 15 promises in praying the rosary, where she contradicts ‘her son’- she can be proven to be a liar and no lie is of the Truth.

Now that is an inconvenient truth for all Christianity- especially to Christians who like December 25, good Friday and Easter Sunday, according to Rome..

Which is darn near every part of Christianity.. Now that would be a mysterious twist people can’t or won’t! see..

They won’t as long as they accept Rome as anything other than a counterfeiter..

It is written,
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE.

On the testimony of the Word Made Flesh, quoting the Word , this ‘mary’ is a liar as she contradicts ‘her son’ when He confronts Satan.
She is contradicted by Scripture in her very first promise..
No lie is of the truth..1 John 2:21

It isn’t an accident these beads and instruction manuals are normally given to children who have very little discernment.

A nice Catholic handed me a set with the instructions a couple years ago and testing and proving ALL things is an uncomfortable, humbling experience, but He let me meet Him as Rome’s Jesus like we all do- but He didn’t let me stay there- by His Amazing Grace.

And it’s why I can say with no problem that Satan deceives the whole world, just like scripture says ...

And I now know how subtle the difference it is between Rome’s Jesus and Rome’s Gospel and The Lamb and the Gospel Paul taught (according to Scripture)
And His Word and His Creation can expose Rome’s December 25, January 1st circumcision, Feb 2nd presentation and Rome’s Good Friday, Holy Satuyrda and Easter Sunday as fake days that counterfeit His Truth and rob Him of worship and glory due for His Creative and Redemptive Work.

Those are counterfeits to the truth and when they get revealed as such, people will cry out that their fathers have inherited nnothing but lies, vanity , wherein there is no profit- Jeremiah 16:19

Jew and Gentile can know the Truth. And it will make them Free.

And it is just how we would expect The Word to become Flesh. Every Day He appointed For Israel was important For our Savior. Literally, for His Birth, Circumcision, Presentation, Baptism,Death,Burial Rest,Resurrection, Giving of the Holy Spirit- are found on His Calendar , hinted in this Word.. Appointed Days His People were to Assemble were major event dasyts for His Son. That can be known .

And if one is blessed to study and understand that Truth?
It is easy to spot the fakes and falsehoods- just like in the grocery stores awhile back holding bills up to the light.

Rome’s Mary is as phony as a $3 dollar bill but most protestants wouldn’t like traveling down that path- they may find themselves too much like mom..like He led me down that path.

But we all have a journey to take and faith to follow.

Amazingly humbling but now I understand true Freedom that He gives apart from the Babylonian counterfeit world that includes Islam, Rabbinic r Messianic Judaism and Christianity.. Nowhere to go but ‘out’, which is where He led me- HaleluYah!

May all test and prove all things on their journey. May their eyes and ears be opened..

The first reformers had no problem calling Rome and the papacy, the seat of antichrist- or the popes, antichrist. I have seen their quotes attributed to them in their writings.

And most of those first reformers opinions were formed before the world was introduced to a Roman calendar named after a Pope.. Something they would logically have to call ‘antichrist’ calendar.

We have 500 years of history to look back on and yet , Protestantism , isn’t connecting the dots..we won’t unless He leads us ‘out’.

Today Rome as a power and principality is not using a sword to wield its control and influence but peace, with the backing of all major countries, religions, organizations(UN) and economies and markets.

They do it by simply allowing the world to know today is Thor’s Day November 5th, instead of His 1st Day of His week, the 23rd Day of His 8th month.. A difference that seems insignificant but it is central to how His Creative and Redemptive Work is commemorated on His Calendar He taught Israel.

A day that commemorates when He said Let there be light. And there was light.

That is one way to tell time- and it can be found using His Word and His Creation..

Or a day originating as named after a false god.. That Rome and the world ordains as the way to set one’s work and/or worship.

Seems silly to people who have only known the one calendar.

The angel telling the world in Revelation 14 to worsip Him who made heaven the earth the sea and fountains of water, is saying that because the battle is over worship.

And thanks to how Rome tells time, that Creative Work in each day is hidden. And how it relates to His Redemptive Work too, would expose all religion (including Judaism) as following traditions of men.

And that is why Rome’s Jesus with holy days associated with Rome is simply another Jesus with another gospel..
And so subtle a difference that most won’t see it.

But the enemy is subtle..

I still wonder who would see it first- but the first people to see it will be anyone who stops accepting Rome as having any truth.

That is farther ‘protestant’ than protestants really want to go because they will know down that road that they too, are feeding the beast.
Like I did..
And that humbling experience is needed but it does shatter one’s view of the world.. Tough for a Christian to think they are part of Babylon..
If one can see how Satan works in Islam, Judaism and Christianity, one will be blessed ...not popular, but blessed.

The battle is as much between our ears and in our hearts as it is in this world. The less conformity to this world, even if it seems to be set up as a Judeo/Christian template, is exactly why people are fast asleep and not testing and proving..
And why the transformation of one’s mind comes as Rome and the world gets less influence in one’s life..

It isn’t easy to call today His 1st Day.. I do it by faith because I see how He set up His Calendar to commemorate His Creative and Redemptive Work in His Word and in His Creation.
Which is how I strive to love Him with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. Seeing His Creatibr and Redemptive Work in every one of His Days.

By doing that, He has blessed me to see how the enemy works.

And how I strive to love my neighbors as I love myself, because they are no different than me- Muslim,Jews,Christian,atheist, secular humanist ,etc. All the world is deceived and only He can take the scales off..and only He gets the glory.
I grieve the world is so blinded by the enemy.
We all share the same enemy.

But it started with not allowing the power and principality of Rome to set the premises like the world allows today.

A totally different way to view the world that shows all religion is full of babel..not unintentional.. In fact, by design..
Even in Judaism and Christianity..

Not popular by any stretch! But a blessing to get those eyes to see and ears to hear from Him!

The debates would be different in any forum if they could see the Kingdom the way He intended people to see it- in the daily commemorating of His Creative and Redemptive Work..

Something the world doesn’t do today. But will when the Kingdom comes!
