About Catholic Classics Unlimited and Myself
CATHOLIC CLASSICS UNLIMITED ^

Posted on 10/30/2015 11:07:59 PM PDT by OrthodoxIndianCatholic

Dear Friends in Jesus and Mary,

Greetings from Mumbai, India.

I have taken an important decision. I will not be posting threads on the "Religion" Section of the Forum any more.

That is only because of 2 things that have happened recently.

1)My PC just a few days back broke down suddenly and it took the life out of me to get it working again.

2)On the last thread, I posted @ FR, there were numerous negative comments against the Blessed Mother which really incensed me and riled me.

One was that Our Lady was a "Frigid Housewife". This is really mean and unbecoming and an unchristian comment. On that count alone, I will not post @ FR anymore.

My Catholic Blog -- Catholic Classics Unlimited will be 2 years old on the 5th of November 2015. It was started on Nov 5, 2013.

My suggestion to everyone since I won't be posting anymore @ FR is to bookmark my Blog or visit it 2-3 times a month to read the articles I have posted.

Important :

Following will be the articles, I will be posting @ my blog in the near future. Read them whenever you can.

1) Dec 12, 2015 -- Our Lady of Guadalupe -- Patroness of the Americas.

2) Dec 25, 2015 -- A Reflection for Christmas Day 2015.

3) Ash Wednesday 2016 -- Lent 2016 -- Lenten Spirituality.

4) A Unique Perspective on the Blessed Mother during Lent.

5) Easter Sunday 2016 -- Resurrection Joy.

6) Divine Mercy Sunday 2016 -- A Perspective on the Blessed Sacrament.

Please remember that Article Number 6 will be the last article to be posted on my Blog.

Please remember to bookmark this thread and also to bookmark my blog.

I am posting this thread @ a cybercafe in Mumbai.

Goodbye.

Note : The latest article to be posted @ my blog is a short and sweet article for the Feast of Saint Jude Thaddeus -- Patron of Desperate Cases 28th October 2015.

The sad part is that that isn’t even the worst of it on the thread cited right below your reply.

Disgusting.

Paul was a hell of a lot smarter than most of us posting here. I’d believe him over you guys any day.

And, I repeat, making judgments about the Mother of God’s sex life is in bad taste and not Christian.

Then I wonder why Catholics don't adhere to what he has written regarding Mary having children, Mary being a sinner, that salvation is a gift from God and we cannot work for it?

I do not believe I have made any comments regarding Mary's sex life so I would appreciate you making it clear you are not associating those comments with me.

No, I am not associating those comments with you. I am associating those comments with other evangelicals who hate Catholics and have a prurient interest in the sex life of Joseph and Mary and have intimate knowledge of frigid women (what a surprise!). That kind of thing gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Yet that precise thing was done, long ago now, by those who insisted upon assigning to Mary perpetuity as for what was her own condition of virginity at time of having conceived within herself by the Spirit of God, His only begotten son, the Messiah.

I do wish you could see that. It has been pointed out on this thread, previously.

Simply repeating the allegations which are being made here by Catholics, does not change the fact that attributing perpetual condition of virginity unto Mary does the very thing which you have just been here objecting to.

You just stop right there, "miss marmelstein".

You are out of line, for you attribute "hate" as motive, and that these persons have "prurient interests" also.

Keep those sort of mouthfuls of accusation, to yourself.

Or else should I and others be allowed to 'get personal' and not restrain ourselves from attributing motives also?

Since when are there two sets of rules around here?

Forget I asked that, of yourself, for I do know better than to expect anything approaching equitable standard of measurement from more than merely a few 'Catholics'.

The condition of lack of even-handedness in their own rationalizations and ensuant conversations and dealing with others here on this forum is not entirely universal, but it is prevalent.

JimRob may have said he was against bashing Catholics --- but as far as I can tell, he did not say it was open season on Protestants. Nor has the religion moderators page of rules been changed to prohibit criticism of aspects of anyone's religion.
