I've encountered far too many subtle efforts to distort and distract from "Christ alone saves" to ever assume otherwise--hence my cranky disclaimer.
I only became aware of that poem yesterday despite being a four-decade fervent believer, so your chasing metaphor in that light held current meaning for me, as though the Spirit were emphasizing to me, through your comment, that point. In other words, your innocuous comment was in fact used by Him for His purpose, which certainly suggests that you are operating in His will and under His influence. What a good place to be!
