Perhaps I missed it. Where in the above article does it state that God speaks to the pope?

How can he speak ex cathedra, then?

Just where do his infallible pronuncements from from if not God?

Do Catholics believe that God speaks to ANYONE any more? If He doesn't speak to the pope, then where's the hope that anyone can hear His voice?
