Funny how they claim they gave us the Bible and then tell us that it’s not authoritative enough to stand on its own.
And then they expect us to trust them to do a better job the second (third, fourth, etc) time around through a committee?
How bout you explain it. Apparently there is confusion among Catholics.

But both progressives and traditionalists must constantly measure their personal opinions and preferences against the magisterium of the Church and her authority.
Faith is ultimately an act of trust trust in the truth of God, trust in the reliability of His Word, trust in the action of the Holy Spirit. The Church doesnt ask you to trust the pope or the bishops; she asks you to trust in Christs promise that the gate of Hades shall not prevail against his Church (Matthew 16:18).**
Amen!
Alinsky would be proud of you.
I enjoyed it! Would havr used Sixtus V instead of Alexander VI as the example though!
LOL!
You just shut down verga’s argument against relying on the Word. I also note with great satisfaction there was no mention of Mary. There may be hope yet!
I don’t see any confusion between Catholics so far.
Kindly post exact quotes where the Catholics are confused.
Please don’t quote the fallen away Catholics they are the last folks who are ever confused

My world is destroyed now. I may go cry.
FOTFLOL!!!
And when/if you can provide a conclusive authoritative list of ex cathedra statements that'd be appreciated also.
Until then you have nothing.
The Church doesnt ask you to trust the pope or the bishops; she asks you to trust in Christs promise that the gate of Hades shall not prevail against his Church (Matthew 16:18).
That’s not what she’s asking at all. She’s asking us to believe Rome is Christ’s church, but we know she’s not. We know she’s an apostate body with another gospel and another Jesus. I utterly stand on His promises regarding His bride.
You are wrong.
wow. The alinsky tactics are in full use today. The greek is against you verga. Sorry.
You’re a one trick pony.
I am Catholic, the Greek is never against us.
Both the article and NYer answered your question quite well.
It is just that you appear to be incapable of understanding a straightforward Catholic response.
You have a lot in common with the stiff necked Israelites, precursor to modern-day Protestants.
For the Gretaer Glory of God
