My mother used to say that homosexuals just simply got into
a bad HABIT, got hooked on it (like ANY bad habit), and now
they’re trying to force it down the throats of people who
believe in the Word of God. Nasty sex is condemned in both
the Old & the New Testaments. End of story. - Having said
that, we all struggle with sin. One sin’s as bad as another.
I just think that waving it in the face of God is the height
of folly. - He needs to get another job. - People should
“love” one another; but anal sex does not have to be a part
of “love”. In fact, to me it seems like the height of
disrespect and the opposite of “love”.
You’re right from that angle. It is a devil’s prank.
What I would add to the discussion is the observation that it does not happen in a vacuum. Generally the lonely and more-than-normally sensitive are more prone to the temptation. That goes for other addictive behaviors too.
There are upsides to a sensitivity to love — not just risks. Pointed in the right direction, it can become a mirror unto God that is not commonly seen in the world. It will make the person look a little kooky to the world. But if the person knows that the world isn’t the thing whose opinion counts the most in the end, that difficulty can be surmounted.
