I understand the reasoning of, “It’s not the kid’s fault, let her go to school there.” But maybe, just maybe, the other parents do not want their five-year-olds to hear, “I have two mommies” from a classmate. Then those parents have to explain “two mommies” to their children sooner than they’d planned to.
