I appreciate that. I don’t see Trump as being evangelical by a long shot. He is probably late to the prolife position, but he seems to have got there and that alone enables me to vote for the man. That serves as my threshold condition.
I can vote for him and pray for him, but no I don’t think he needs to be falsely molded into some paragon of faith. That’s a false projection if I ever heard one.
He is the best man for this terrible job, perhaps by miles, but if he were loosey goosey on abortion, I would have to happily lose with Cruz.
I am all *for* a citizen president, entirely out of government as it is today.
Trump, I pray, is on his own spiritual journey, as are we all. And, none have arrived. Who knows where it might lead him. He is not there yet. Neither am I, I’m quite sure. Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner. Thanks, bean counter. Rita
I just visited the Billy Graham library....and saw Ruth Graham’s simple tombstone in the garden.
One day she was driving through a construcion site.....and saw a sign and said...
Put those words on my grave stone
.....Ruth Bell Graham
...Construction Over, Thanks for Your Patience
I think that speaks for all of us on the road to sanctification.
May God bless Donald Trump
