If I understood JesusIsLord correctly, yes. He was speaking of that instituted by God the Father and reaffirmed by Jesus: For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
That doesn't sound like "secular marriage" to me.
Heterosexual marriage is the ONLY marriage recognized by God, and reaffirmed by Jesus as God’s original intention for male-female union. THAT is the institution God set out for mankind in general.
At issue is Catholic annulment of THAT God-ordained union, not unions which are but fantasies in the mind of perverse men and women. “What God has joined, let not man seperate.” Exceptions are just that. Yet the flesh of man will always seek to expand the exceptions and pervert God’s original intention of FINALITY in marriage.
What God has joined....Hint: the church is NOT God. No church has any right to seperate His union once it has occurred in HIS eyes. Legalism is a game man plays, pointlessly, as God is Truth (not bits of it, there to be deceptively rearranged for convenience).
