Really.

The Church of Christ is not a "cult".

Get your facts straight about the definition of a cult before spouting off.

We are a Bible-believing church that affirm the historic doctrines of Christianity. We baptize for the remission of sins, worship (most of us) without musical instruments, and partake of the Lord's Supper every Sunday.

Which of these things make us a cult?

Christians are the most damaging to Christianity. Fighting and biting each other, as Paul said, we will be destroyed by each other.

I have been active in COC. I am clearly aware of the nature of cults, having been active in several in the 60’s in NE.
COC churches in my experience hold leadership as the center of the group life and hold membership as more important than ethics, Biblical teachings, or faith in Christ. Leadership is based upon obedience to a single authority, not Christ.
That makes these groups a cult and not a Bible-believing church that affirms the historic doctrines of Christianity.
