Nothing reveals intellectual dishonesty with greater clarity and certainty that the refusal to answer a yes-or-no question.

Intellectual honesty would admit that some questions are not answerable with a simple yes or a simple no. Elsie has already pointed out the classic example of that flawed approach.

Elsie answered a yes-or-no question with abuse. Everyone else who answered did the same thing.

I asked a LEGITIMATE yes-or-no question. I.e., it was not a “gotcha,” or “beating your wife” question.

Every syllogism is either valid or invalid. There is no third alternative.
