So, "Whatever happens, any church authority that misinterprets the words of Scriptures shouldn't do anything about the main theme of Christ’s sacrifice and ministry on earth."

I still don't get it; nor do I see where it fits into the rest of the discussion.

Mrs. Don-o. I sympathize. I’ve had whole weeks like you describe. Fortunately, not recently.

Interpretive guide:

“Whatever happens [however the church processes this thread topic], surely they [the church] shouldn’t do anything redemptive [sarcasm, since obviously Christ’s whole earthly ministry was about redemption of the lost and sinners - but which too often is the last thing churches think about].”
