Thanks for posting this good article.

ALL: Here is an interpretation of a scripture I have had difficulty with. What do you think of it?

Hi!
When I was in college, I had several courses with lab practicals. You had to get everything just so, or the proctors would literally take it apart and you started from scratch. Could that ever get annoying! Just when you think you had it down pat- boom! Back to square one! Arrrrgh! But if you wanted to pass the course, you took it, and kept on trying. You just kept doing it, with your eyes on the prize- passing the course and getting through school.

One day one of the proctors explained the situation. Nobody's ever going to be 100% out there in the real world- so they demanded 110% of us in lab - figuratively, that is- so that each of us would become the best we could be.

My take on Jesus' statement is something like that. God knows better than anyone that we aren't perfect. Yet if we constantly strive to reach our own maximum potential in holiness, isn't that as perfect as we can be? Jesus is saying, strive for your best, always; your efforts are pleasing to God: seek first His Kingdom, and keep all your efforts toward Him in all you do... God bless you!
