Here is yet more information, for those who miss the Rapture and are here after the event. This is for people, not any particular congregation of people. Please, think about it ...

~have the same problem with the manual~
For a set up like that, I am a patient man and am willing to wait.
When my laptop with Vista Home Premium got a bad bug from my grandson ‘visiting’ a website I had not approved of, the crash was complete. I had to wipe the system and start completely at the beginning again. For that I had Vista Home discs and had no problem reloading the entire process and the updates which I had saved on discs. That is no longer possible with the way the systems are loaded tot he machine nowadays. I even have the Windows 98 discs and updates. I keep threatening the slow running laptop with wiping it out and loading Windows 98 onto it, but it doesn’t seem to care enough to do its best.
Somehow I was able to naturally enough drolly deadpan the reply.
It infuriated the gal. I still laugh, thinking about it.
Don't know if that will help you but it is worth a shot.
I think I have a pretty good mental image, I have worked with quite few people like that and can do a pretty good deadpan.
So far what I did seems to be working without a glitch. Even had some updates from Microsoft get loaded without a hitch. The system was stuck on restart, as if a ‘finish loading’ cue was not registering so the machine would restart constantly trying to finish loading some update. The problem arose when grandson *he’s 11* was downloading free games to my laptop!
Like one of the instructors said, “There is not such thing as a ‘free’ app.”
"Except there is not one first resurrection, pretribs tell us, there are three: Jesus' resurrection, a pretrib resurrection, and the first resurrection of Rev. 20."
...needs clarification.
Martyrs of the tribulation are part of the first resurrection, for Rev. 20:4 tells us they had...
"...not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years"
This poses a dilemma for Pretribs, for it is obvious, with martyrs of tribulation resurrected, the first resurrection can only be a post-tribulation resurrection.
They solve the dilemma by stretching the resurrection to include Jesus' resurrection and a pretrib resurrection. The first resurrection, thus being made one, inclusive of Jesus's resurrection, a pretrib one, and a post-trib one.
...needs clarification.
We know the resurrection of the Tribulation saints is not really the first resurrection...The first resurrection was Jesus and the souls of the OT saints who were released from Abraham's Bosom...
We also know of the resurrection of the souls of the martyred (only) saints of the Tribulation in Rev. 20...These saints are resurrected AFTER the marriage takes place in heaven...
So that leaves the Bride who got married in Rev. 19...There are 3 resurrections all of whom are saved and translated into the Kingdom of Heaven; the physical kingdom where Jesus will reign for a thousand years...
The first resurrection then comprises (completes) all who have been saved as opposed to those who come up in the 2nd resurrection at the White Throne Judgment...
Placemarker ... There have been resurrections, like Lazarus, who was in the grave long enough to start to stink! For some odd reason men want to hem in the Lord’s words, kinda like the Pharisees?
Sheesh, talk about inference. This has got to be worst example of all of it. Talk about reading theory into scripture, instead of believing what it actually SAYS.
Jesus’ resurrection has nothing to do with the first resurrection. The Revelation was written late in the first century, he had been resurrected 60 plus years prior, chapter one has him there amidst the seven churches as the RISEN Christ...already resurrected.
The revelation is written to the seven churches of Asia, with no resurrection having taken place yet for them in the book until 20:4, it would be the first resurrection to THEM. Certainly not to Christ.
The first resurrection begins the millennial reign of Christ, his resurrection, having taken place two thousand years ago, has nothing to do with this one.
To the seven churches, with no resurrection mentioned until Rev. 20, it would be THEIR first resurrection, by extension the church worldwide’s first resurrection.
Since the first resurrection begins the thousand years, a resurrection of the church taking place seven years prior contradicts what the text actually says. The text says one thousand years, NOT ONE THOUSAND SEVEN YEARS. It is impossible for the church to be resurrected seven years prior to the point the text says begins the thousand years.
Moreover, if the martyrs of the tribulation are resurrected when the millennial begins, then THEY are the definers of the first resurrection. They absolutely define the first resurrection to be post-tribulational, while at the same time defining it inaugurating the millennial reign.
In relation to the second resurrection, which takes place after the millennial, this is the church’s first resurrection.
In light of these these facts, we conclude when the text says “first,” it really means first. The first resurrection for the tribulation martyrs, the first one for the church.
How is it the church's first resurrection when the church was married off, in heaven, in chapter 19???
In light of these these facts, we conclude when the text says first, it really means first. The first resurrection for the tribulation martyrs, the first one for the church.
You can conclude whatever you want, based on a single verse but there's just way too much scripture that has to go into the trash heap when a person tries to understand the scripture and doctrine a verse at a time...
Boy, I'll say...
In every instance on this thread, you and your fellow pretribs have shewn yourselves eschatological mystics. Similar to Hymenaeus and Philetus, who were guilty of blasphemy on the resurrection, their belief on the resurrection, “profane and vain babblings,” I Tim. 1:19, 2 Tim. 2:16-18. We should learn a lesson here: if there is one thing one you don’t want to mess with its the resurrection.
EVERYTHING hangs on the resurrection, Christianity is nothing without it, Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection the basis of our salvation, the first resurrection of Rev. 20 our eschatological hope. So vital, the word has an entire chapter dedicated to it (1 Cor. 15).
If there is one thing you better get right, worse than Texas, if there is one thing you better not mess with its the first resurrection. But here comes the pretribs, rushing in where angels fear to tread.
Heresiologists like Irenaeus tells us the mystic types, whom he termed gnostics, held to esoteric “knowledge,” what they “knew” was superior to what the word of God SAYS. They didn’t care what the scripture actually SAID, they went ahead and read into scripture their theories, their inferences. Instead of letting the word of God be superior, letting it correct them, they held their esoteric inferences superior.
A former pretribber myself, and having had numerous encounters with pretribs over the years, like on this thread, I am convinced that pretrib is a form of estoteric mysticism, a kind of gnosticism. They hold to beliefs superior to what the word actually SAYS. Like the gnostic mystics, you refuse to let passages like Rev. 20:4 correct you.
You mystic fellows make great sport out of passages like Rev. 20:4, twisting it to your own destruction, but its going to have the last word.
With that, I take my leave from this thread.
I doubt it. You cannot resist the urgings ...
Those men were trying to murder the children of Israel.
6 I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns!7 Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let us give the glory to him. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready." 8 It was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
The Marriage is come , in Heaven, and there are guests being brought in to the marriage of the lamb. But be it known to all, no one, not a single soul, will be in Heaven except by the salvation by the blood of the lamb as the atonement and assigning of righteousness, HIS righteousness for them. The Bride has made ready IN HEAVEN. The guests tot he wedding are coming up to Heaven out of the Tribulation.
Rev19:9 He said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" He said to me, "These are true words of God." 10 I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, "Look! Don't do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy."The Rider on the White Horse
NOW comes the return of Christ to the Earth, after the events in Heaven with the Bride and the invited guests. What are left on Earth are a remnant who would not take the mark of the beast and would not worship the beast, and a vast array of those who did take the mark and are worshiping the beast. They are the hardened hearts who now receive the final wrath. A big clue as to whom are the 'armies in Heaven' is the following verse: "The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen." This is the garment of the wedding which has taken place IN HEAVEN. These armies are then Bride and the Guests at the wedding, along with Angels. But the 'white, pure, fine linen is from the wedding! Refer back to verse 8 above ...
Rev19:11 I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. 13 He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called "The Word of God." 14 The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen. 15 Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."
The harvests have come to the harvest of grapes of His wrath and the winepress. The Barley harvest brought the True Church of Jesus Christ out from the earthly realm to the place He has been preparing for Her. The wheat harvest has applied the tribulum, to crush out the harvest of wheat from the tough stalks. These are they who come out of the tribulation and have salvation by crying out to The Christ and have the Blood of the Lamb accounted to them and are guests at the wedding. These 'armies of believers', as a Bride and the wedding guests, return with Christ to harvest the grapes of wrath of God upon those who refuse still to trust in and believe in The Christ as the ONLY source of righteousness for eternity.
Defeat of the Beast and False Prophet
Rev19:17 I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the sky, "Come! Be gathered together to the great supper of God, 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, and small and great."19 I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse, and against his army.
20 The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21 The rest were killed with the sword of him who sat on the horse, the sword which came forth out of his mouth. All the birds were filled with their flesh.
The key to unlocking God's message for us is to understand that there are saints from different ages, different dispensations. The Saints of the Old Testament and the Saints from the Church Age, and the Saints from the Tribulation are three different groups, but all have Salvation by faith in the blood of the Lamb, Jesus The Christ. what differentiates these different groups of Saints is the Way the blood is accounted for them righteousness. During the Church Age, no animal sacrifices are being made to show faith in the blood atonement. The Saved are believing in His Sacrifice for them.
In the OT, the animal sacrifices were the outward sign of faithing in His promise for atonement. During the Church Age the bow of the human will to the indwelling Holy Spirit given upon being born from above is the outward sign of faith in God's Promise. The Bible tells us that 'in that day I will write my commandments upon their hearts'. The Church Age is THAT DAY.
Yes, there will be a huge number of wheats harvested during the Tribulation period. But eventually it will be a field with so little wheat to harvest that only at the end will the tares be harvested out of the field so the remaining wheats can be harvested. The Angels will be sent forth to harvest the tares and bind them. These are the ones who refuse even after all the wrath supernaturally poured out upon the Earth. These are harvested by the Angels and bundled and cast into the fire. The remaining wheats go into the Millennium and have children even, during the thousand year reign of Christ ON EARTH.
Meant to ping you to the above on Rev 19
